Cute girl becoming a hot favorite of Kollywood heroes

Genelia commenced her Kollywood innings in a grand manner by bagging the role of heroine in Boys directed by Shankar. Refreshingly youthful and cherubic, her looks subsequently earned her the dream role of sharing the screen space with Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay in Sachein.

Later on, for reasons unknown this pretty actress was not much spotted in Kollywood screen but in many films in Telugu Desam and Kannada where she has been continuously showcasing her talent in acting.

Bommarillu the Telugu flick of Genelia where she played Siddharth’s love interest was a runaway success there. This film was directed by Bhaskar and its victory at the box office has naturally evinced remake interests in Kollywood too where Vishal and Vijay were reported to be interested in featuring in the Tamil version. Now Bommarillu is slated to be remade in Tamil under Jeyam Ravi’s brother Raja’s direction. Kalpathi S Agoram who had earlier funded Thiruttu Payale will be producing this film too. Jeyam Ravi will be the hero who will work on this project after he completes Jeeva’s Dhaam Dhoom. Genelia has been roped in once again to play the heroine in the Tamil version too.
