Nadiya rubs shoulders with her yesteryear onscreen

She has had enough of stardom in Tamil, Malayalam,
and Telugu. But Nadiya still hasn’t
given it up. Donning greasepaint for the movie
camera, we mean. Back in the saddle with M.
Kumaran, S/o. Mahalakshmi, Nadiya is quite
often seen in the silver screen playing significant
roles in movies such as the recently released
Thamirabarani.

She is recently roped in for a meaty role for the Bharat
starrer Palani to play Bharat’s elder sister. She
is cast alongside the yesteryear hero Rahman with whom
she had delivered hits like Nilave Malare during her heyday.
Will history repeat (the hits) by itself? While that remains
to be seen, this time around Rahman seems to be playing
the villain in Palani.
