Tamil cinema suffers from lack of heroines.
So much so that Surya’s upcoming venture
Vel is in gridlock for want of a lead lady.
After the story discussions that went for
three months, director Hari announced that
Asin would be the heroine of the project.
Alas, it was learnt soon after that Asin’s
date books were not free enough to accommodate
Vel since she had committed for the Hindi
remake of Gajini.

Now, Shreya – the sought after heroine in recent
days – has been approached, it is heard. With Azhagiya
Tamil Magan and Kandasamy already in her kitty, Shreya
does not seem to miss an opportunity to star opposite
Surya. She has promised her decision, after hearing the
story, in a couple of days. Fingers crossed, are we Hari?
