Karthi and Lingusamy find a name. |

Notwithstanding a whole bunch of old movies
being remade – take for instance the
recent hit Naan Avan Illai and Billa and Kreedom,
which is in the pipeline – Tamil cinema
seems to be borrowing titles of yesteryear
movies as well. Earlier the Superstar –
Balachander hit Thillumullu’s title
has been grabbed for a Jeyam Ravi starrer
to be directed by Boopathy Pandiyan and produced
by director Lingusamy’s banner Tirupati
Brothers.

However – for reasons unknown – the project
was shelved as soon as it was announced.
But Lingusamy seemed to have retained his fondness for
the title and since his long pending Vikram – Trisha
starrer Bheema is wrapped up recently, he is all set to
take off with his next venture. The project will star
Paruthiveeran Karthi in the lead now and it is learnt
that story discussions are on for the same. But no old
wine in new bottle this, assures a birdie.
