Kollywood was never in short of heroines.
Even now there are quite a few established
ladies as well as many new faces that are
highly talented. But suddenly there seems
to a dearth were the leading ladies are concerned.
Varanam Aayiram did not take off as team was
not able to find a suitable pair to star opposite
Surya.

And finally Genelia was roped in. The situation was something
similar for Kaalai too. After much haggling around for
a heroine, Vedhika was finalized.
And now Sundar .C is also left without a pair. Initial
plan was to star Sneha opposite Sundar .C, in Ayudham
Seivom, which is being directed by Perarasu fame Udhayan.
But sources say that with Sneha declining to take up the
role the director is frantically looking for a heroine.
It does not stop at that. Srikanth-starrer Im, directed
by Sasi has also not found a suitable leading lady till
date.
Woof! One more to go. Credible sources say that Bharati
was finally zeroed in for Ammuvagiya Naan only after many
of the established actresses refused to do the role.
Any idea why this sudden scarcity of talented heroines?
