Director Jananadan joined the category of
proficient directors after his film ‘Iyarkai’
where Shaam and Arunkumar played significant
roles. This film went on to win the National
Award for the Best feature film in Tamil in
2003. Subsequently he worked with Jeeva in
‘E’ which satisfied the audience
and also was declared as a commercial hit.

After the success of E, there was widespread speculation
in the industry that Jananadan will not join hands with
Jeeva once again for his next venture and may opt for
a bigger star than Jeeva. But Jananadan being what he
is, has proved everyone wrong and has committed Jeeva
for his forthcoming film too.
He comes across as a simple man with no airs whatsoever.
When quizzed about his next film, he states that it is
a historical theme and the hero will be required to don
different get ups. This is one of the reasons that the
reputed director cites for continuing to choose Jeeva
as the young actor has no qualms about trying out any
new appearance on him. More over, Jeeva is clever enough
not to have got caught in the image trap and is open about
doing negative roles as long has the character has immense
acting potential. Jananadan has narrated the story to
Jeeva’s father Chaudhery and has obtained his approval
but is scouting for an appropriate producer to finance
his film.
