Simbu seems to be in cloud nine these days
and that is not without a reason. Generally,
Simbu-Yuvan Shankar Raja combo has always
been a super hit. This time the magic seems
to have rubbed to G.V. Prakash too. Simbu
says that Kaalai's music has come out well
and it is going to be talked about for quite
some time.

If you are confused about the title Kaalai, yes it is
the same Kaala. When Simbu was quizzed if it had to do
anything with numerology he quickly denied it. According
to Simbu, the name change was made aiming at perfection.
Talking about the movie, Simbu said that he instantly
liked the story when Tarun Gopi narrated it to him. "Kaalai
will be a complete action movie more in the lines of Thotti
Jeya" said Simbu.
There was news doing rounds in Kollywood that Hindi actress
Rekha could be roped in for a very important and powerful
grandma character in Kaalai. When Simbu was asked if the
option was still open, he said that Rekha was not in a
position to take up the role as she happens to be busy
with other commitments.
