if it is against our culture. One such movie
of recent times is Ammuvagiya Naan. Movie
buffs may recall that Parthiban and Bharati
play the lead role in Ammuvagiya Naan. The
movie was caught up in a web of controversies
evoking strong debates as critics state that
it is against our cultural values.

Talking about the movie, director Padmamagan revealed
that the story revolves around a sex worker who accepts
the profession not out of necessity but due to strong
orientation towards it. According to critics, Ammuvagiya
Naan could just trigger a culture shock.
Well, this controversial movie has been drawing attention
from unexpected quarters now-a-days. Fredrick, a French
national researching the world cinema, flew down to India
particularly to see the filming of this movie. Impressed
by the movie, he is full of praises for the entire team.
