When remakes and remixes appear to be the
order of the day, there is one more film which
is slated to be made in Tamil borrowing inspiration
from a different language. This time the source
of import is from Malabar and the film is
Chhota Mumbai which was a giant grosser in
Mollywood featuring Mohan Lal and Bhavana.

Reliable sources reveal that this film had become the
focal point of many of the bigwigs of Kollywood and there
was stiff competition among them to remake this film in
Tamil.
It was said that Ilaya Thalapathy watched this film and
had evinced his keen interest to remake in Tamil. Meanwhile
Chhota Mumbai was also watched by Vishal, Sathyaraj and
a few producers. Kollywood grapevine divulged that Sathyaraj
was too anxious about his son Sibiraj doing this film
and as per his wish, Sibi will be donning the role which
was played by Mohanlal in Malayalam. The title of the
film, director and producer are yet to be firmed up.
