Overseas market - a surprise winner

The filming of Rameshwaram commenced just today and it is already in the limelight. The movie is being directed by a fresh talent from Kollywood, Subha Selvam and produced by the same production house that produced Acharya.

It is all about a refugee from Sri Lanka, played by Jeeva, who falls in love after arriving at Rameshwaram. What happens next forms the rest of the story. As the story happens to be about refugees it has already drawn the attention of numerous Sri Lankans living across the world. The grapevine has it that the movie's international rights have already been sold. That too, at an exorbitant rate, which is usually reserved only for kingpins of the film industry.
