I watched Sivaji in Chicago, Bloomingdale theaters on Saturday (June 16th). The number of shows was
increased from 4 to 5 due to huge demand. All 5 shows were houseful and overcrowded. And for each show, a queue started forming in front of the theater approximately 1 1/2 hours before the showtime. When my friend Sundar and I were standing in front of theater for the 6:30 show, an American came and asked: "what is going on in this theater, for 2 days now I am seeing huge crowds standing here throughout the day", my friend Sundar replied: "India's biggest superstar's movie is released, hence the crowd" and the Americans were surprised and they said: "Cool. Awesome. This much crowd for a movie. We thought there was some protest going on inside the theater".
