“A chinese girl was
desperately asking for two tickets”
Dear Editor,
I wud like to share my experience in getting Sivaji tickets
for the very(read 'veri') first show @ Singapore.We know
that two places screen the movie,one at Yishun and another
at Lavender.After several phone calls and personal visits
to these theatres,we finally got confirmation that Booking
starts from Jun-12 ( 10.00 am)
Luckily we had a friend(Karthik)staying in Yishun.So we
stayed in his flat the previous day night itself.No need
to tell that I didnt sleep that night.I started at 6.45
am in the morning and reached the theatre. Happy that
I was the first to reach the complex reading the board("Sorry
we are closed!").Another gang comprising of three
immediately followed me. Within a few minutes,when I just
turned back,I was simply amazed to see a long Queue.I
could see a lot of families,Old ladies in their 50s,students,Office-goers
with their bags,Chinese,Malay,Singaporeans...I was taken
aback when a chinese girl was desperately asking for two
tickets.
Though we came first to the premises,some well-built guys
found easy to put us back.Finally I was standing tenth
in the Queue.Issuing of tickets started at 10.00am.Each
ticket costs S$15.The very first show is supposed to be
screened at 9.00pm on Jun-14.
One of the guys standing in front of me got 70 tickets
for his friends.Ibought around 40 tickets for all my friends
here.I was fortunate enough to get some Thalaivar posters
for free with the tickets.After this my joys knew no bound.I
couldnt verbalize such feelings.But you can easily guess
that only Thalaivar can give this sort of joys in his
fans' lives.When I came out,I was shocked to see the Queue
which has now rounded the complex 1 1/2 times.(shud be
atleast a km).
Well friends,enjoy Thalaivar's movie with your family
and friends.
