It seems like beauty queen
Aishwarya Rai always reels
under one or the other mishap
during the making of her films.
A couple of years ago while
shooting for a Hindi film,
she met with an accident.
In Karnataka last month at
the shooting for Mani Ratnam’s
Guru, she fell off a bicycle
and suffered bruises. The
Guru unit is now shooting
in Chennai. At the YMCA grounds
in Nandanam, huge sets had
been erected. Yesterday, scenes
of Abhishek addressing workers
at a factory had been canned
and Aish was also around.

As the unit packed up for the day,
Aish, Abhishek and Mani Ratnam left
the spot. As the other unit members
were also preparing to leave, there
was a sudden collapse of the sets.
The huge casuarinas scaffoldings gave
away and the props came down like
a house of cards. Three unit members
were rescued after much struggle and
admitted to the Government General
Hospital. The mishap occurred just
minutes after the VIPs had left and
if they had delayed, it would have
been a major setback.
