With rumors doing the rounds that Thaandavam is also an inspired story like Vijay - Vikram's earlier Deivathirumagal, Vikram has sprung to his director's defense saying that Thaandavam is indeed an original story.
He is full of praise for his young director and even calls him a 'one man army' who is skilled at multi-tasking. Vikram promises a hard-hitting, intelligent and sharp thriller with Thaandavam and also says that the fights would be realistic.
Vikram is also an advocate of the policy that a film needs to be promoted prior to release as he believes that the first fortnight of a movie's run is what makes the final difference. No amount of hype is enough is his belief and he asserts that he would be available for the publicity of all his films.
