Sathyaraj who was initially shortlisted for a role in Sathya Siva’s ‘Sivappu’ has now reportedly been replaced by Rajkiran who was last seen in Dhanush’s ‘Venghai’. The veteran will join an ensemble cast of able performers such as Thambi Ramaiah, Selva and director A. Venkatesh who will don the greasepaint for this movie.
The movie will feature Naveen Chandra as the hero, making his debut in Tamil after creating a presence in Telugu. Rupa Manjari will play his love interest. Sathya Siva’s last project ‘Kazhugu’ earned him credentials as a competent story teller and he hopes to follow it up with ‘Sivappu’ which is supposedly based on the lives of construction workers.
