Rasaleela, a bold 1975 Malayalam film starring Kamal Haasan and Jayasudha in the lead, which was a huge hit then, has been remade in Malayalam again. The film, starring Dharshan and Prathishta in the lead is all set to release this week.
The classic Rasaleela, directed by Sankaran Nair was a remake of the Tamil film Unarchigal, which was directed by RC Shakthi. But due to censor issues, the Tamil film was released only after Rasaleela. But both the versions were super hits and ran for more than 100 days in both Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
