Amala Paul is not just a pretty actress, but has also proved to be a responsible citizen. She has given herself in to an anti-corruption movement- 5th Pillar. In a video the actress said that the organization is providing a platform to fight for a corruption-free India and that she is very proud to be able to contribute to the cause.
The President of 5th Pillar, Vijay Anand, an NRI of Washington said, “A democratic country needs four important pillars, legislative, executive, judiciary and press to run efficiently. But when a developing country like ourselves is hit by corruption, we need an extra pillar, which are the people. That is what the 5th Pillar signifies.”
The institution trains citizens on how to acquire necessities, without bribing the government authorities. Their main aim is to enlighten people about the nook and corner of Right to Information Act.
