The launch of the much awaited album of Ilayaraja, Neethane En Ponvasantham happened recently in a grand function in Nehru Indoor Stadium. Jiiva who was also present at the event, shared his experience of working with Gautham Menon.
“Gautham Menon has given me an image makeover in this film. In fact, he has transformed me from a wine shop guy to a coffee shop guy,” said Jiiva, with his usual smile. “He has also taught me a few tough English words,” added the Neethane En Ponvasantham actor, mockingly.
Gautham had visualized Jiiva’s character as a local boy. But when Jiiva heard it, he requested Gautham not to portray him like that as he has been doing a lot of similar characters. Now both are happy with the final product.
