Comedian Vadivelu campaigned for the DMK party during the state legislative assembly elections early this year but eventually it was the AIADMK that came to power. Following this, Vadivelu lost several opportunities to star in films. While some claim that he is being sidelined by the moviemakers, others say that he has decided to go on a break.
With this being the situation, the local body elections have been announced now. This raised an expectation that Vadivelu may once again campaign for the DMK. However, neither Vadivelu nor sources close to him have made any announcement regarding his current status in this issue.
