Work on Vasanthabalan's Aravaan based on Su Venkatesan's novel, Kaaval Kottam has been completed and post production work is going on currently. Hero Aadhi has developed an eight pack for this film and Pasupathi has also worked out to look the part of a hardened warrior. Kiran Bedi also has a pivotal role in Aravaan. Singer Karthik has done the score for the first time, and the buzz is that he has done a fine job.
As per the buzz, director Vasanthabalan has delved deeply into the history of Madurai to make the setting authentic. The film will have a running time of two and a half hours as Vasanthabalan wants to blast the myth that period films are slow. With so much going for it, it is small wonder that Aravaan is one of the most awaited films of the year.
