Parthiban in the film industry
is known for his ‘out of the
box’ thinking, be it his films
or his film invites or the greeting
cards that he sends to his friends.
His creative mind is well known
in industry circles. Currently he
is busy with Vithagan, a film where
Asin look alike Poorna of Muniyandi
Vilangiyal Moondram Aandu fame shares
screen space with him. Recently
a song was shot in Chennai with
a set erected specially for this
purpose. Though there is nothing
new in it, the content of the song
has drawn a lot of attention.
The song that was shot was all about
global warming which is of serious
concern to nations across the world.
Even though there are many forums
which discuss this issue, this is
the first time it is being talked
about in a film song. If an issue
had to reach the masses, there could
not be a more powerful and better
medium than the entertainment segment
to make an impact. Kudos to Parthiban
for using the film song for this
purpose!
