Film stars, these days, don’t
just stop featuring in films and
relax. They are continually involving
themselves in various social service
activities. There are also stars
that sincerely advocate many socially
relevant programs and help many
NGOs and government agencies. Blood
donation camps are generally conducted
on star’s birthdays which
help the hospitals in case of emergencies.
Parthiban who has always involved
himself in such service-related
activities conducted a blood donation
camp yesterday on behalf of his
‘Manidhaneya Mandram’
to cater to the blood demands of
government general hospital. The
event was attended by Chennai Mayor
Subramanian. Tricycles for physically
challenged people, exercise machinery
for young men and notebooks for
children were also distributed.
More than hundred people participated
in the event that donated blood
and also pledged to donate their
eyes.
