Yesterday we had reported that Hansika had been signed up as Karthi’s pair in Venkat Prabhu’s Biriyani. While many names were doing the rounds for the role, it is now more or less evident that Richa Gangopadhyay did indeed make it to the cast of the film before being replaced by Hansika now.
In her micro-blogging page Richa revealed her reasons for opting out from Venkat Prabhu's ‘diet’. She cited the changes in the script and her role that forced her to take this decision. But she does maintain that she parted ways in good terms with the director and the team and she thanked him for being understanding. She also hopes that she will get to work with him in the future.
