The next most awaited album of 2012 is AR Rahman’s Kadal. Three songs in the album have been penned by Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu. Director Mani Ratnam has borrowed two songs from ‘A compilation of Vairamuthu’s poems’ and a song from ‘Thanneer Desam’.
Vairamuthu expressed his joy over the selection of these songs, which he says are penned in pure and beautiful Tamil. He took it to twitter to convey his gratitude to the director and the composer for choosing the three poems.
Kadal stars Gautam Karthik and Thulasi Nair in leading roles. Rajiv Menon has cranked the camera and Sreekar Prasad has edited the film. Arjun, Lakshmi Manchu, Ponvannan, Pasupathy, Thambi Ramaiah, Arvind Swamy form the supporting cast.
