Saattai was a recent movie which threw light on the way undisciplined and unruly teachers were ruining government schools. It takes a visionary new teacher named Dayalan to come to one such school and turn things around at this school with his ambitious ways.
There was one such sequence in the movie when he keeps a complaint box in the classroom which can be used by students to make any suggestions and complaints against their own teachers. This is somewhat similar to the 'Pugaar Petti' that Arjun advocates in Mudhalvan.
Seeing Saattai's complaint box as a good idea, government schools have actually decided to implement this 'complaint box' idea starting today, in classrooms to act as the bridge between students and classrooms. This real life victory must really make the team of Saattai proud. When movies can achieve something more than box-office success, then it is praiseworthy indeed.
