Varsha, daughter of the legendary singer and the Padma Vibhushan recipient Asha Bhosle, has committed suicide, by shooting herself. The political journalist was 56 and had already attempted to kill herself four years ago. Varsha’s mother, Asha Bhosle is currently in Singapore to attend the MIFTA awards.
Varsha was found dead in her house in Mumbai by her neighbours. Police have taken control over the scene and more details about the tragic incident are yet to come.
