Baradwaj Rangan, the National award winning film critic has pulled off an almost impossible feat. He has written a book titled, Conversations with Mani Ratnam. The ace director is almost as famed for his reticence as his ability to make brilliant cinema. Originally, Rangan was planning to do a series of essays on Mani's films and when he broached the idea to the director, Mani surprised him by saying that since they both loved cinema they should just talk and see how it went.
The result is a an interesting series of conversations that the book has captured between the two film buffs. Fans are going to love this book for sure and will be grateful to Rangan for his effort. The book also contains a foreword by AR Rahman.
