The news is now confirmed. PVP Cinemas, the producers of Vishwaroopam and Naan Ee have acquired the remake rights of the Rajamouli’s yet another Telugu super hit, Maryada Ramanna. Director R Kannan, who is presently doing Settai, a remake of Delhi Belly, will be helming this film too.
Maryada Ramanna, which itself is a remake of a 1923 Hollywood movie named ‘Our Hospitality’, has already been remade in Kannada and Bengali. The Hindi version, Son of Sardar starring Ajay Devgan and Sonakshi in the lead roles is awaiting its release.
The cast and crew of the Tamil version of the film will be announced soon.
