Actress Soundarya, was one of the biggest stars in her day before a tragic plane accident claimed her life on April 17th, 2004. Soundarya had been campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party when the accident happened. Her brother, Amarnath was also killed with her. Now their loved ones are locked in a legal battle over Soundarya's property.
Soundarya's mother, KS Manjula and GS Raghu, the actress's husband who has remarried since then have joined hands against Amarnath's widow, Nirmala and son, Sathvik. Soundarya's property is reportedly worth about Rs. 50 crores. Sathvik has come forward saying that his grandmother was not honoring the terms of the will and was depriving him of his rightful share. Things have turned ugly and both parties have filed cases against each other in a police station in Bangalore.
A defamation case has been filed against Manjula and Raghu for suggesting in a police complaint that the will had been forged by Danraj, the legal representative of Nirmala and Sathvik. A local court has summoned Manjula and Raghu for a hearing and both parties are getting ready to fight the matter out in court.
