Gautham menon has described the love between Jiiva and Samantha in three stages in his upcoming romantic film, Neethane En Ponvasantham. The lead pair appear as school kids, then as college youths and as young adults in their mid 20s.
The music album has three songs on love failure. Interestingly, we hear that two of the three songs are for the heroine, Samantha. Now the question is, is Neethane En Ponvasantham yet another film with an unhappy ending?
Aishwarya Dhanush’s 3 too had a similar plot, the three stages of love and had a tragic ending too. Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya, Gautham Menon’s previous romantic outing, too had a not so happy ending. Most of his films, including Kaakha Kaakha and Vaaranam Aayiram had a tragic end to the love track. So will he give a ‘Minnale’ touch to NEP, or will he make the audience come out with a heavy heart again? We will have answers for all these when NEP releases!
