It has become a norm for the theatre owners to place a request to the state government seeking permission for extra shows during festivals and the government granting the request.

This year too, the state government has allowed the theatres to screen one extra show per day to let movie buffs celebrate Diwali grandly. There will be five shows in theatres for Diwali. The days for this special screening will be October 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th and November 1st.

The Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners’ Association Chairperson Abhirami Ramanathan thanked Chief Minister J Jayalalitha for allowing the special show.
