KS Ravikumar has said during the Osthi audio launch that Rana has been put off as it was felt that Rajinikanth needed more strength to partake in the film’s shooting. The director said that the Superstar is absolutely fine now, but the delay in the re-commencement of Rana’s shooting is because Rajini should be able to give his best and this could be done only if he has the strength.
Rana was commenced in April this year but on the day of its shooting Rajini developed some health complications and had to undergo some advanced treatment in Singapore.
