Genelia and Hansika play important roles in the Vijay starrer Velayutham. This gave rise to rumors that there was a stiff competition between the two actresses to prove who the best among the two is.
Denying this as rumors, Genelia said that she plays a city girl in the film while Hansika dons the character of a village belle. The characters are so different, so the question of competition did not arise on the Velayutham sets, states Genelia.
Velayutham, one of the most expected films of the year, is due to hit the screens this Diwali.
