Radha Ravi distanced himself from the
All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam
some years ago. He was elected to the
legislative assembly through the AIADMK
ticket and served five years as an AIADMK
MLA but due to some differences with the
party high command he decided to stay
out of the party.
Recently, his meeting with the Congress
leader Rahul Gandhi in Delhi evoked a
speculation that he may join the Congress.
But Radha Ravi surprised everyone by
meeting J Jayalalithaa at her residence
and rejoining AIADMK. A notification to
this effect has been issued by the AIADMK.
