The glittering National Awards distribution
ceremony took place at the national capital
New Delhi yesterday. The President of
India, Pratiba Patil distributed the awards
to many top film personalities including
Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Resool
Pookutty, and D Rama Naidu.
While Amitabh Bachchan received the award
for his excellent performance in Paa,
a film which was produced by his son Abhishek
Bachchan, D Rama Naidu was recognized
with the Dada Saheb Phalke Award for his
contribution to the Indian cinema.
Sasi Kumar and Pandiraj also received
the national award for the best feature
film in Tamil and dialogues respectively.
