The All-India Film Workers Association
has placed a five-point agenda to the
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh,
Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Central Ministers
Mallikarjun Karge and Ambika Soni.
The five-point agenda includes plea for
declaring television and cinema as a profession;
that the cine and television workers should
be given retirement benefits, and the
work hour for these professional should
be only eight hours among other things.
To stress on the importance of this five-point
agenda so that the Union Government would
implement it, the Association members
have decided to go on a procession from
Kanyakumari to meet the PM, said FEFSI
Chief VC Guhanathan.
