The super hit thriller, Pizza directed by debutante Karthik Subbaraj is the recent hot buy in the Indian film trade. The film’s Telugu and Kannada dubbing rights were sold for a massive Rs. 72 lacs and Rs. 35 lacs respectively.
It is now heard that, Bejoy Nambiar, who came to fame with his Bollywood debut, Shaitan, has bought the Hindi remake rights and the dubbing rights for all the North Indian languages of the film for a whopping Rs 1.10 crores. It is said that, this is the first time in the history of Indian cinema that a film’s dubbing rights have been sold for a price greater than the film’s production cost.
