We had earlier reported the troubles that Thuppakki got into with some organizations for hurting Islamic sentiments. They took offense to some scenes and dialogues in the movie. The Thuppakki team later agreed to remove these scenes much to the delight of all those who complained about it.
Five such scenes have been removed from the movie and some dialogues have also been muted. A CD containing all these cuts was submitted to the Commissioner of Police, Chennai by producer Kalaipuli Thanu.
Meanwhile, the movie is enjoying a good run at the box-office with positive reviews from all over. Now with an edited version of the movie, the curiosity factor around the movie is bound to increase.
