Veteran thespian Manorama has been taking it easy on the work front as she’s been looking after her health over the last few months. She has supposedly turned down quite a few offers due to health reasons. At present she will be part of Suriya-Hari’s Singam 2.
Apart from her solo Tamil project, the veteran has also reportedly signed up for a Shahrukh Khan film. The project in question is Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express. Manorama has been picked to play Deepika Padukone’s aunt in the film. According to the story line, which is speculated to be an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s ‘2 States’, Deepika plays a Tamilian.
One way or the other, Manorama will make her presence felt in Bollywood after a long gap of nearly 37 years since she played a heroine in Kunwara Baap.
