Director Prabhu Solomon had a set built in the forest area of Munnar for his film Kumki but did not commence the shooting. When enquired about this, the director said that he wants the set to appear old because the script requires it.
Shooting the climax of Kumki in a brand new set will not give the same feel and therefore the team decided to wait, sources say. Once the set looks old and worn out, Prabhu Solomon will begin shooting the climax there.
Kumki will mark the debut of Vikram Prabhu, son of actor Prabhu. Lakshmi Menon plays his female lead in it.
