Vikram's next film after Rajapattai to be directed by Vijay has been titled Thaandavam. It is going to be an ambitious film as the makers want it to be an action film on the scale of Hollywood blockbusters. Leading Hollywood technicians have been roped in to make sure the visual effects are out of this world.
Anushka, Amy Jackson, and Santhanam will be keeping Vikram company in this film. UTV will be producing this film. GV Prakash will be doing the music, Na Muthukumar is the lyricist, Nirav Shah will be handling the cinematography, editing is by Antony, art direction will be taken care of by Nagu, and Vijay himself will be doing the script.
The makers are hoping to release the film in Tamil and Telugu as a big summer release in 2012.
