Saranya made her debut in Kaadhal as the friend of heroine Sandhya and went to star as one of the heroines in the Jayam Ravi-starrer Peraanmai. The actress is currently working in a couple of films in Tamil and Telugu.
She made it to the news when her mother Manjula lodged a complaint that Saranya went missing for more than a month. Manjula claimed Saranya is being held captive by her lover and is refusing to return her.
Replying to this allegation, Saranya has said that she is out on her own free will and is not under anyone’s control. She also reportedly refused to return to her mother.
