Ramarajan was one among the 85 AIADMK party functionaries and cadres who was arrested in Wallajabad yesterday. They had planned a procession condemning the Spectrum scandal but were arrested by the police as permission for the procession, which was to begin at the Wallajabad bus stand, was denied.
All those who were arrested were housed at a marriage hall and were released in the evening. Ramarajan had acted in several film including hit movies like Karagattakaran and was a Member of Parliament. He is an active member of the AIADMK.
