The
audio release of the upcoming movie Kotti
was held recently at the Four Frames theatre
in Chennai. Kotti has been directed by Sivan
who is also the protagonist of the movie.
Bhagyanjali will be the female lead of the
movie which has been produced by Sathish Kumar.
The audio release function was attended by
noted celebrities from Kollywood and the print
media. Music of Kotti has been scored by Guru
Kalyan.
The first CD of Kotti was released by director
KS Ravikumar and was received by renowned
and respected journalist Mr. Devimani along
with the other artists of the movie. Two songs
were played to the gathering which sounded
good and were also appreciated by those present.
A peek at the trailer revealed that Kotti
is a high voltage action movie with punches
and kicks galore.
Speaking at the occasion, director KS Ravikumar
was his usual self. Being candid about his
views on directors turning actors, he said
that directors must understand the character
and must act only if the character suits them.
"They should not act in a movie just
for the sake of acting", he added. He
also had an advice for Sivan when he said
that he must improve his dancing skills. Commenting
on the movie, he said, "I can only talk
about the movie after watching it". He
also felt that the action sequences and the
songs are good to see in the first instance.
KS Ravikumar also remembered his past when
he spoke about the design used for the title
of the movie. It looks like chains linked
together to form the word Kotti and Ravikumar
said that he is still in the industry only
because of links. "I almost quit the
industry out of disappointment but it was
my friend who encouraged me to come back.
Since he had links with Vikraman, he recommended
me to him. Then I got RB Chowdhery's link
after which Puriyadha Pudhir happened, which
gave me more links in the industry. So I feel
Kotti will surely link with the audience".
Being a journalist himself, Mr. Devimani declined
to comment as he felt it would be wise to
watch the movie first before speaking about
it. |
