its producer Sun Pictures and it reaped
the benefits in the form of profits. This
Rajinikanth-starrer was marketed so heavily
that Tamil films have now been put on
the global map.
Vijay’s Kaavalan has been lapped
up for a record price by an overseas distributor
though his earlier film did not do well.
Then Manmadhan Ambu, which is again gearing
up for an audio launch in Singapore, will
be lapped up by overseas distributors
without a second thought as it is Kamal
Haasan in the lead.
Several producers opine that Tamil films
are now being recognized in the global
market thanks to the aggressively marketed
Endhiran.
