Mayanginen Thayanginen starring Nithin Sathya and Disha Pandey had a rough time with the censors. They ordered as many as 100 cuts and wanted words muted in 10 places. Vendhan, the director of the film was unhappy about it as he feels his film has a strong message and should reach a large portion of the audience.
Vendhan agreed to the cuts and muting because he had no other choice if he wanted a 'U' certificate. The director however is satisfied that the cuts have not affected continuity and he feels the audience will definitely appreciate his film.
