For the past few days, director Pandiraj has been dealing with accusations of cheating. One Balamurugan filed a case against the director alleging that Pandiraj had promoted himself as the producer after taking money from him to make the movie. In reply to this, Pandiraj said he had been maintaining silence as per the advise of his lawyers but it was time to clear the air.
Pandiraj has said, "Pasanga Productions is my registered banner and I am an approved member of the Producers Council. P. Sambasivam was my manager but he stole the company voucher pad and misused it. Now they have filed a case saying I am not the producer of Marina though I paid them back their money and also credited them as co - producers. I am not in the business for money and my accusers, Balamurugan and Sambasivam have been accused of land grabbing and cheating an assistant director respectively."
The Marina director added that there were many who worked on Marina who would swear by his innocence. He said that he made films out of passion and not a love for money and he would rather go herd cattle in his native town rather than cheat people out of their money.
