Arya-Madhavan starrer ‘Vettai’ went on floors just a couple of months ago in Karaikkudi, where a mass number featuring 2000 junior artistes was filmed. Later, the crew shifted to Pondicherry for the second schedule and the scenes involving Arya, Madhavan and Amala Paul was shot there. According to the reports from closer sources, it is heard that as the summer heat became terrible, the producers decided to reschedule the portions involving outdoor locations in Pondicherry to June.
Now some of the portions with lead characters and minor artistes are filmed at indoor locations in Chennai. Meanwhile, Madhavan has taken a break from the shooting due to some commitments with other projects.
‘Vettai’ was supposed to be produced by Dayanidhi Alagiri of Cloud Nine Movies and later shifted to the hands of Tirupathi Brothers owned by Lingusamy and his brother Subash Chandra Bose.
