Hospital sources say that Rajinikanth has been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit at the Sri Ramachandra Hospital in Chennai. He was in a suite at the General Ward till yesterday and his family and doctors claimed that he is recuperating from a lung infection. But this sudden shift to the ICU has come as shock to all Rajini fans.
Doctors at the hospital say that Rajini has breathing problems and had to be shifted to the ICU. Sources also say that he is suffering from the initial stages of renal failure and is undergoing dialysis. It will be known in a few days time if he would need dialysis all through his life.
Sources at the hospital say that Rajini is positively responding to treatment.
