The New Jersey Tamil Sangam has honored director Arun Vaidyanthan with the title Iyakunar Ilaval. The director wielded the megaphone for the Tamil film Achchamundu Achchamundu which starred Prasanna and Sneha in lead roles. The film was critically acclaimed and participated in several international film festivals.
In order to felicitate the director for making such a film, the NJTS had honored him with the title. Speaking at the function, the NJTS President Devi Nagappan said, “It’s a proud moment for the Tamil community of New Jersians and we are very happy to notice that one of our residents made and released an entertaining Tamil mainstream film with a social message! Arun’s passion and his efforts are inspiration to the Tamil community here!
